‘I Am Here To Help People’

Letters home

Spec. Michael Bell, 22, of Cheney works in general construction. He is an operating room technician in Bosnia.

My first Christmas away from home is filled with mixed feelings. I miss my family and friends very much. But I have bonded with a new group of people, and I can’t think of who I would rather spend Christmas away from home with than my Army Reserve family.

I am here to help people. That’s why I became a medic in the U.S. Army.

So don’t feel sad for me today. Be proud of this soldier. Be proud of all our soldiers away from home for the holidays. We all are doing our part to see that the people of this land can feel secure.
