Rose Bowl Quilt Up For Auction

A custom-made Rose Bowl quilt decorated with a Washington State University cougar emblem and two roses is being auctioned off in the Spokane Valley. Bids will be taken by telephone via Internet and fax, right up to the kick-off of the New Year’s Day football game.

Parents of students at East Valley High School made the quilt. The proceeds will go to two sophomore honors humanities class at the school. The money will help pay for Advanced Placement test fees and other class activities.

The quilt is 66 by 50 inches. It will be on display at the Spokane Valley Mall through Jan. 1.

Earlier this week, the highest bid was $250. The winning bid will be announced in The Valley Voice early in January.
