Cocaine, Alcohol Blamed In Jail Death

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 29-year-old woman found dead in a Grant County Jail cell died as a result of a cocaine overdose and alcohol intoxication, sheriff’s officials said Monday.

Toxicology tests on the body of Carrie Ann Vinson detected high levels of both cocaine and alcohol, the sheriff’s department said.

The Moses Lake woman was found dead in her cell on Nov. 23 during a routine check. About six hours earlier, she had been arrested and booked on a District Court warrant.

An autopsy was inconclusive as to the cause of death.
