Sizzling Nic Takes Clackamas Title Cardinals Bury Blue Mountain By Shooting A Torrid 64 Percent

Casey Fisher scored 24 points to lead North Idaho College’s basket-blistering offense Tuesday as the Cardinals romped to the Clackamas Tournament men’s basketball championship by defeating Blue Mountain Community College 134-84 at Oregon City, Ore.

NIC made an astonishing 64 percent of its field-goal attempts, hitting 57 of 89, to improve its record to 9-3.

Fisher connected on 11 of his 15 attempts, including a 3-pointer. Tournament MVP Johnny Goodman, Travis Houston and Nathanial Bailey shot even better.

Goodman, who scored 23 points, made 9 of 12 shots from the field. Houston scored 22 on the strength of 11-for-13 shooting and Bailey’s 8-for-9 performance led him to 21 points.

NIC opened the tournament with an overtime victory over Centralia CC on Sunday. Monday, the Cardinals rolled over Umpqua CC.
