Falcons Keep Rolling, Knock Off Davenport

Sprague-Harrington continued its rags-to-riches story Saturday, as Miranda Putney hit 6 of 9 field goals and added eight rebounds to guide a 58-34 Bi-County League win at Davenport.

Mandi Walters added five steals for the Falcons (10-7, 7-4), who could tie for the East Division title by winning their final two games. S-H, under first-year coach Stacia Marriott, a former Davenport star, finished 4-9 in league last year.

Nathalie Rux and Addie Lust had eight rebounds apiece for Davenport, which shot just 25 percent from the floor.

Republic rallied in the fourth behind Felishia Pfaffle’s three 3-pointers. Sara Montague and Jana Huston had 10 rebounds apiece for NWC, which will open league playoffs Feb. 10 against the same Tigers.
