Monday

10 a.m., House Hearing Room E, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Government Reform and Land Use Committee Hearing on HB1591, concerning local project review under the Growth Management Act.

1:30 p.m., Senate Hearing Room 1, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Law and Justice Committee hearing on SB5255, prohibiting abortion for a minor unless she has given written consent to the abortion and has notified both parents or legal guardians. Also being heard is SB5441, prohibiting partial-birth abortions.

Tuesday

10 a.m., Senate Hearing Room 1, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Education Committee Hearing on SB5167, prohibiting schools from presenting homosexuality as positive, normal behavior.

10 a.m., House Hearing Room E, John L. O’Brien Bldg., Criminal Justice and Corrections Committee Hearing on HB1456, forbidding certain sex offenders to live near schools or day-care centers upon their release back into the community.

10 a.m., Senate Hearing Room 3, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Government Operations Committee hearing on SB5460, limiting the use of public funds for political activities.

3:30 p.m., Senate Hearing Room 1, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Transportation Committee hearing on SB5662, establishing the 1997-99 transportation budget.

Wednesday
