Pole Sitter Wins

Compiled From Wire Services

Polesitter Andy Hillenburg, the beneficiary of problems that beset some of his primary competition, opened the ARCA season by winning the Daytona 200 for the second time in three years.

The 33-year-old driver from Charlotte, N.C., led the final 46 laps in his Chevrolet.

Accidents that took defending series champion Tim Steele and Mark Thompson from the mix made it easier for Hillenburg.
