Nafta Seminar Scheduled Next Week

Inland Northwest companies that want to expand into either Canada or Mexico can get some guidance on everything from credit to taxes next week at Spokane Community College.

The Spokane Regional International Trade Alliance, U.S. Export Assistance Center and Washington State Community Trade and Economic Development Department are the prime sponsors of the day-long event, which starts at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Sasquatch Room.

U.S., Canadian and Mexican professionals will discus various aspects of the 1993 agreement, which lowered many of the trade barriers among the three countries.

The cost is $20 for alliance members, $30 for non-members. The fee includes lunch and refreshments.
