Charles Huck Jr. Palm Desert, Calif.
Memorial service for Charles Lewis Huck Jr., 59, will be at 4 p.m. March 1 in the Rock of Ages Christian Church Fireside Room. There will be private burial. FitzHenry Funeral Home in Palm Desert is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Huck, a former Spokane resident, died Feb. 17.
He was born in Southgate, Calif.
He served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1976 and was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base for several years.
He retired from the military and lived in Spokane until 1994. He worked for City Courier and the Spokane Parks Department.
Mr. Huck moved to Palm Desert two years ago and was an office manager for C.J. Microfilm and Scanning in Palm Desert.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna Huck and Park Huck, and a son, Christopher Huck, all of Spokane; a sister, Patricia Walker of Palm Desert; three brothers, Gary Crites of Upland, Calif., Randall Huck of Columbia, Mo., and Tracy Huck of LaVerne, Calif.; his father and stepmother, Helen and Charles Huck Sr. of LaVerne; his mother, Frankie Loveridge of Fullerton, Calif.; and a grandchild.

Alice Gindraux Spokane
Inurnment service for H. Alice Gindraux, 103, will be at 11 a.m. March 2 at Greenwood Memorial Park. A memorial gathering will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Canterbury Court. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of cremation.
Mrs. Gindraux, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Feb. 13.
She attended South Central High School and was a graduate of Kinman Business School.
In 1916 she married Jules Gindraux in Spokane.
She had worked for Spokane Press, Northern Pacific Railroad, Washington Department of Labor and Industries and Washington Gov. Clarence Martin.
During World War II she worked at Fairchild Air Force Base, where she was elected Bomber Queen in 1943. She was later employed by the Social Security Administration until she retired in 1963.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, Jules Gindraux of Priest Lake, Idaho, and Jim Gindraux of Pasadena, Calif.; two daughters, Eleanor Gordon of Coulee City, Wash. and Jane Sloan of Whidbey Island, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Lillian Ring Spokane
Visitation for Lillian M. Ring, 89, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Born in Carrington, N.D., Mrs. Ring died Thursday.
She had lived in Spokane for 52 years and had worked as a hotel clerk at The International and the Riverside Hotel.
Mrs. Ring is survived by a son, Eugene Spence, and two daughters, Mildred Eudy and Elinora Getz, all of Spokane; three brothers, Hubert Nick of Pullman, John Nick of Kahlotus, Wash., and LeRoy Nick of Denver; a sister, Ruth Earl of Marietta, Ga.; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Marvin Schneller Spokane
Memorial service for Marvin Robert Schneller, 82, will be held in at a later date.
Mr. Schneller, who died Tuesday, was born in Elmhurst, N.Y.
He graduated from Syracuse University and worked for the Atomic Energy Commission until he retired in 1972.
He moved to Medical Lake in 1979 and served as president of Lakeland Village Associates and Friends of Residential Centers for the Retarded, a statewide organization.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Brevoort Schneller; a son, Daniel Schneller of Medical Lake; a daughter, Judith Gibbs of Richland; and a brother, Richard Schneller of White Plains, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marvin Schneller Memorial Fund in care of U.S. Bank branches in the Tri-Cities or Spokane, to be used for the care of the retarded.
Wilbur Kent Benge, Wash.
Service for Wilbur Gustave Kent, 84, is set for 11 a.m. Monday at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Ritzville, Wash. Burial will follow at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Kent, who died Wednesday, was born in Benge and graduated from high school there.
He worked for area farmers and then went to work for the SP&S Railroad.
He joined the Army during World War II and served until 1945.
He returned to work for the SP&S and later worked for the Burlington Northern. Most of his years with the railroad were spent working in Oregon. He retired in 1974 and returned to Benge.
Mr. Kent was a member of the Colfax Elks and Odd Fellows lodges, the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees, and the Modern Woodsmen of America.
Survivors include three sisters, Virginia Gregory and Anita Haspedis, both of Spokane and Mary McWilliams of Roseville, Calif.; and two brothers, Herbert Kent and Alfred Kent, both of Benge.

Ralph Breeden Kingston, Idaho
Service for Ralph Breeden, 82, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Shoshone Memorial Gardens in Pinehurst, Idaho. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Breeden, who was born in Wauna, Wash., died Wednesday.
In 1939 he moved to the Silver Valley from Colfax, Wash., and worked at the Bunker Hill Mining Co. for several years.
Mr. Breeden went on to work at the Page Mine until its closure and then worked at several other area mines before retiring from the Galena Mine.
He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mildred; a son, Don Breeden of Kingston; two daughters, Joyce Miller and Linda Nitcy, both of St. Maries; one brother, Hollis Breeden of Dusty, Wash.; two sisters, Suzie Pratt of St. John, Wash., and Lola White of Pullman; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
William Long Otis Orchards
Services for William “Bill” Long, 67, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Trentwood.
Born in Spokane, Mr. Long died Wednesday.
He worked as a heavy construction crane operator and was a member of Operating Engineers Union Locals No. 370 and No. 302.
He was a member of the Spokane Softball Hall of Fame and was Spokane’s first all-regional fastpitch softball player when he played for Lucky Lager in 1964.
He married Coila “Scotty” Peterson in 1964 in Coeur d’Alene.
He served in the Navy and Marine Corps and was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Jerry Purser of Newman Lake, Jeff Purser of Mead, John Long of Camano Island, Wash., and Allen Long of Seattle; four daughters, Michelle Ireland and Julie Olson, both of Otis Orchards, Desiree Dempsey of Spokane and Theresa Mattoon of Seattle; his parents, Grant and Merle Long of Spokane; a sister, Sandra Oosting of Spokane; and 12 grandchildren.
Ronald Baump Bothell, Wash.
Service for Ronald O. Baump, 66, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Civic Center in Curlew, Wash. Burial will be at Curlew Cemetery. Bergh Funeral Service in Oroville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Baump, who was born in Spokane, died Feb. 15.
He lived in Malo, Wash., from 1951 until 1966. He logged and farmed.
He moved to Bothell, Wash., in 1966 and worked for the University of Washington. He retired in 1989.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis Baump; a son, Doug Baump of Elk; five daughters, Sharon Sattler of Republic, Wash., Donna Baump of Marysville, Wash., Colleen Baump and Nancy Sjoquist, both of Seattle, and Janet Jordan of Mukilteo, Wash.; his father, Emmitt Baump of Spokane; two brothers, Emmitt Baump Jr. of Mead and Bud Baump of Colbert; three sisters, Vinnie and Elaine Pierce, both of Spokane, and Joyce Hays of Deer Park; and numerous grandchildren.
Irene Martin Spokane
Service for Irene G. Martin, 89, will be at 1 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Graveside service will be Monday at West Hills Cemetery in Yakima.
Mrs. Martin, who died Thursday, was born in Bellingham and graduated from high school in Seattle. She also graduated from the Columbus School of Nursing in Seattle.
She worked for the American Red Cross in Yakima and at Southcrest Nursing Home in Spokane.
She came to Spokane in 1974 from Yakima and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross in Spokane.
Her husband, Frank Martin, died in 1971.
Mrs. Martin is survived by a daughter, Gail Synoground of Spokane; a stepdaughter, Jan Hildon of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a son, Arthur Frye of Cardiff, Calif.; a stepson, Al Martin of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Catherine Rochlitzer Spokane
Funeral Mass for Catherine (Bigelow) Rochlitzer, 95, will be at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery in Santa Barbara, Calif. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Rochlitzer, who was born in New York City, died Wednesday.
She graduated from Barat College in Lake Forest, Ill., and came to Spokane from Santa Barbara, Calif., 45 years ago, after her husband, Joseph Rochlitzer, died.
In 1949 she was appointed the first dean of women at Gonzaga University. She resigned in 1953.
She was a member of the Amateur Radio Association and was an active ham radio operator.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Rochlitzer of Seattle and Timothy Rochlitzer of Santa Barbara, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Estelle Hampton Spokane
No service will be held for Estelle L. Hampton, 98. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of cremation.
Mrs. Hampton, who died Feb. 15., was born in Tallahassee, Fla. She had worked as a nurse and owned an interior design company in Beverly Hills, Calif.
She came to Spokane 10 years ago.
Her husband, George Hampton, died in 1957.
Survivors include a son, Roy Hampton of Florida; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Betty Hollenback Spokane
No service will be held for Betty Hollenback, 78, at her request. A family memorial will be held later with burial to follow at Pines Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.
Mrs. Hollenback, who was born in Greenacres, died Friday.
She was a graduate of Otis Orchards High School, and she and her husband owned a grocery store in Washtucna, Wash., for many years. She then worked in Spokane for The Crescent and the Frederick and Nelson department stores.
She is survived by two sons, Jerald Hollenback of Bellevue, Wash., and Jack Hollenback of Kuwait; a sister, Tannis Hollenback of Washtucna; and a brother, Richard Kroll of Brookings, Ore.

Virginia Swanson Spokane

Mrs. Swanson, who was born in Norway, died Thursday.
She had worked as a bookkeeper and manager for a bookstore in Chicago, where she lived most of her life.
She came to Spokane in 1981 from Florida.
Her husband, Arthur, died in 1974.
She is survived by a brother, Maynard Arveson of Spokane.
Carol Silliman Spokane
No service will be held for Carol E. Silliman, 87. Inurnment was at Riverside Memorial Park.
Mrs. Silliman, who was born in Agar, Calif., died Feb. 11.
She moved to Spokane 40 years ago and worked for a collection agency.
Mrs. Silliman is survived by a daughter, Carol Silliman of Spokane.
Jeanne Kelley Spokane
Graveside service for Jeanne M. Kelley, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kelley, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Thursday.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Police Guild.
Her husband of 45 years, Roy Kelley, died in 1979.
Mrs. Kelley is survived by three daughters, Sandra Woodland and Kay Tuft, both of Spokane, and Paralee Bullock of Rifle, Colo.; a brother, Harold Blackburn of Portland; a sister, Vera Miller of Seattle; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Lowell Isaksen Lewiston

Mr. Isaksen, who was born in Rathdrum, Idaho, died Wednesday.
He graduated from the University of Idaho.
He lived in Spokane from 1946 to 1987 and was a district supervisor for the Agriculture Conservation Program. He retired in 1973.
His wife, Katherine (Zimmerman) Isaksen, died in 1987.
Mr. Isaksen is survived by a daughter, Sharon Evans of Lewiston.

Mary Jane Dawson Spokane

Mrs. Dawson, who was born in Fargo, N.D., died Wednesday.
She had lived in Spokane for more than 40 years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Thomas Dawson; four daughters, Rita Dawson of Medford, Mass., Mary Rohrbach of Folsom, Calif., Kathleen Timm of Anchorage, Alaska, and Laura Heitman of Spokane; a son, Thomas Dawson Jr. of Bothell, Wash.; a sister, Elizabeth Strub of Jasper, Ore.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandsons.

Laura Hakala Coeur d’Alene
At her request, no service will be held for Laura Hakala, 84. Private inurnment will be held later at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hakala, who was born in Utah, died Wednesday.
She graduated from Mullan (Idaho) High School, and moved to Hayden Lake, Idaho, in 1943. She moved to Woodway Retirement Home in 1992 and recently became a resident at Pinewood Care Center in Coeur d’Alene.
Mrs. Hakala was preceded in death by her husband, August, in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Paul Hakala of Hayden Lake, Idaho; two daughters, Ina Bush of Moses Lake and Sally Dreschel of Australia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
