The Spokane County animal shelter will offer 50 sterilization certificates today as part of Spay Day USA, a nationwide effort to encourage people to spay and neuter their pets.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the certificates are available for $10 on a first-come, first-serve basis to county residents with current pet licenses.
Spokane city residents are not eligible.
Certificates cover the cost of sterilization surgery at any of the county’s participating veterinarians, and are limited to one per family.
Residents must come to the shelter, 2521 N. Flora, to purchase a certificate. , DataTimes
