Alisa Burras had 31 points and 15 rebounds and No. 6 Louisiana Tech, despite its coach fainting in the first half, beat No. 8 Tennessee 98-80 Monday night.
Coach Leon Barmore briefly passed out with Tech leading 16-14 with about 11 minutes left in the first half. He was treated at court-side, where he remained for the rest of the game.
It was the first time that Tech (24-3) had beaten Tennessee (21-10) twice during the regular season. The Lady Techsters, who have now won 10 of their last 11 games, also beat Tennessee 66-64 in the preseason NIT.
Amanda Wilson added 20 points for Tech and Monica Maxwell had 20.
Chamique Holdsclaw led Tennessee with 33 points and 11 rebounds, and Kellie Jolly added 12.
Tech led 39-24 at halftime. Wilson scored eight points as Tech later turned a 17-point edge to a 77-54 lead.
