Marijuana Plants Found In Basement

Authorities seized 181 marijuana plants worth roughly $200,000 Wednesday night in the basement of a home near Rathdrum.

Acting on a tip, investigators got a warrant and searched the home on Reservoir Road about 7 p.m., said Coeur d’Alene Police Capt. Carl Bergh, head of the Kootenai County drug task force.

Bergh said the person renting the home was out of the state at the time.

Investigators are trying to locate him. His name was not released.
