Paul Fullerton Veradale

Memorial service for F. Paul Fullerton, a former Wilbur, Wash., resident, will be at 2 p.m. today at St.

Mary’s Catholic Church. There will be private burial. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Riverside, Calif., Mr.

Fullerton died Monday. He was 69.

He served in the merchant marine and then joined the Army and served during World War II.

In 1956 he married Marilyn Payne in Sacramento, Calif.

He worked for the federal government for 37 years as an electrical inspector and retired in 1993.

Mr. Fullerton moved to Veradale four years ago from Wilbur, where he had lived for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marilynn Fullerton; three daughters, Cathy Bolin of Milwaukie, Ore., Patricia Fullerton of Laurel, Md., and Laura Baird of Spokane; three brothers, Earl Fullerton Jr. of Portland, George Waltz of Sacramento, Calif., and Rich Waltz of Peoria, Ariz.; two granddaughters and two stepgrandsons.

Beulah Graham Rosalia, Wash.

Visitation for Beulah E. Graham, 79, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Rosalia. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Odd Fellows Lodge Evergreen Cemetery in Rosalia.

Mrs. Graham, who was born in LaCrosse, Wash., died Tuesday.

She was a longtime Rosalia resident and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Kenova Grange.

Mrs. Graham is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Graham; a son, Rich Graham of Electric City, Wash.; a daughter, Barbara Marsh of Spokane; two sisters, Vera Actor of Spokane and Edith Rumburg of Kennewick; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosalia Ambulance Fund.

Edna Just Spokane

Visitation for Edna Just, 79, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial service will follow at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel. Memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Born in Mercer, N.D., Mrs. Just died Tuesday.

She and her husband, Ted, operated a meat market in Rosalia, Wash., for many years. She had lived in Spokane since 1958.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Her husband died in 1987.

Mrs. Just is survived by a daughter, Donna Grosz of Spokane; a son, Jerry Just of Fargo, N.D.; three brothers, Len Kleingartner of Springfield, Ore., and Ted and Meiny Kleingartner, both of Bismarck, N.D.; a sister, Helen Richardson of Eugene, Ore.; three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Gladys Marshall Spokane

Visitation for Gladys A. Marshall, 96, is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church. Burial was at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Marshall, who died Tuesday, was born in Wichita, Kan.

She came to Spokane in 1910 and worked at a candy factory before she married Sydney Marshall in 1926. She also worked for Cascade Laundry and Troy Laundry as a sorter.

Her husband died in 1976.

Survivors include a son, Frank Marshall of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; five daughters, Eva Kilcup of Milton, Wash., Juanita Brogan of Baton Rouge, La., Lauretta Carasik of La Palma, Calif., and Beverly Lamb and Carol Hogue, both of Spokane; 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Lawrence Lynch Spokane

Vigil service for Lawrence Henry Lynch, 89, is planned for 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m.

Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born in Spokane, Mr. Lynch died Tuesday.

He lived in St. Joe City, Idaho, when he was young, and then moved to Green Bluff.

He graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory School and attended Gonzaga University.

He later operated the family-owned Meadow Green Dairy in Marshall from 1937 until 1952 and also served as fire chief of Marshall.

He retired from Spokane County in 1973.

His wife, Sadie Lynch, died in 1993.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Mr. Lynch is survived by two daughters, Patricia Skahill of Shelton, Wash., and Judy Schmeer of Spokane; a brother, Edward Lynch of Tigard, Ore.; a sister, Mary Louise Beaulaurier of Yakima; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Gladys ‘B’ Earney Spokane

Memorial service for Gladys I. “B” Earney, 97, is planned for 10 a.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Earney, who was born in Harrington, Wash., died Tuesday.

She was a longtime resident of the Harrington/Davenport area and worked for the state of Washington in Davenport for many years.

She came to Spokane 25 years ago.

Her husband, Broadus Earney, died in 1970.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Mahrt and a son, Harold Earney, both of Spokane; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Irick Barker Spokane

Service for Irick M. Barker, 90, is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Barker, who died Tuesday, was born in Stillwater, Okla.

He served in the Army during World War II and was a carpenter for Carpenters Local No. 98.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

His wife, Verlyn Barker, died in 1980.

Mr. Barker’s survivors include two sons, Donald and Robert Barker, both of Spokane; two stepsons, Ronald Eck of Newport, Wash., and Dean Eck of Newman Lake; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Melvin Campbell Pinehurst, Idaho

At his request, no service will be held for Melvin L. Campbell, 62. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Campbell, who was born in Priest River, Idaho, died Wednesday.

He moved to the Silver Valley in 1969 from Liberty Lake, and worked for the Bunker Hill Mining Co., for 13 years.

He also worked as an automobile mechanic for several local auto dealers, including Dave Smith in Kellogg.

Survivors include his wife, Ida; three stepchildren, Mary Reeves of Ocean Shores, Wash., Rose Davis of Texas and Larry Reeves of Connecticut; two sisters, Dona Albertson and Sandy Green, both of Spokane; a half-sister, Goldie Minderman of Spokane; and two brothers, Ray Campbell of Spokane and Gerald Campbell of Seattle.

Norma Landaker Spokane

Service for Norma A. Landaker, 64, will be at 2 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Born in Cloquet, Minn., Mrs. Landaker died Tuesday.

She had lived in Spokane for more than 35 years and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Norman Squires of Portland and Dale Meador of Spokane; six daughters, Margaret Morgan, Joyce Landaker, Janie Fines, Laurie Garrett, Karla Adams and Bonnie Emberton, all of Spokane; a brother, Leonard Brandt; two sisters, Mary Meador and Janice James; 33 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Charles Purdy Jr. Spokane

Memorial service for Charles Phillips Purdy Jr., 81, will be at 4 p.m. March 8 at Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of cremation.

Mr. Purdy, who died Monday, was born in Brookline, Mass.

He was a professional mining geologist and from 1942 until 1945 worked in Spokane as an associate mining engineer for the Department of the Interior, Mining Division. He also worked for the state of Washington Department of Conservation, Division of Mines and Geology, in Olympia.

He had worked throughout the Western United States and in parts of Canada, Greenland and Central America. He worked as a consultant and with several corporations, including Crown Resource.

He retired in 1985 and settled in Spokane. In his retirement he was involved with the Mineral Information Institute.

Mr. Purdy is survived by his wife, Eunice; two stepsons, Alan Campbell of Telkwa, British Columbia, and John Cambpell of Calgary; a stepdaughter, Laura Ruth Campbell-Black of Summerland, British Columbia; a brother, Richard Purdy of South Dartmouth, Mass.; and three grandchildren.

Elizabeth Altman Spokane

Private family service will be held for M. Elizabeth Altman, 87. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Altman, who died Saturday, was born in Dillon, Mont., and graduated from high school in Sandpoint.

In 1928 she married Erwin Altman in Coeur d’Alene. They moved to Spokane from Sandpoint in 1951.

Mrs. Altman worked for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. for 10 years as a secretary. She then worked for Spokane County as a purchasing assistant, retiring in 1972.

Her husband died in 1990.

Survivors include five daughters, Bernice McLaughlin of Stockton, Calif., Bonnie Roberts, Jeanette Smith and Donna Hohenschuh, all of Ione, Wash., and Mary Farnham of Spokane; a sister, Bernice McCracken of Klamath Falls, Ore.; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Naomi Clark Spokane

Memorial service for Naomi Mae (Israel) Clark, 91, will be at 11 a.m. March 8 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Mrs. Clark, who died Sunday, was born in Greene, Iowa, and moved to Spokane with her family in 1918.

She worked as a telephone operator and, in 1928, married Arthur Clark.

They lived in California for a short time and then returned to Spokane.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Plumbers Auxiliary.

She was a pianist and performed with several Spokane dance bands in the 1920s.

Her husband died in 1985.

Mrs. Clark is survived by two daughters, Mildred Stevens of Spokane and Margaret Klein of Crescent City, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Blegen of Spokane; two sons, George Clark of Cheney and Robert Clark of Spokane; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Margaret McCormack Pendleton, Ore.

Memorial service for Margaret E. McCormack, 72, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Pendleton.

Mrs. McCormack, a former longtime Spokane resident, died Tuesday.

She was born in Spokane and had worked as an accountant for the Hennessey and Curran law firm and also for attorney James Workland.

She retired in 1989 and moved to Joseph, Ore., in 1991. She moved to Pendleton a few months ago.

She was a charter member of the Spokane Ski Club and the United American Indians. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Her husband, Levi McCormack, preceded her in death.

Survivors include four daughters, Ann Adams of Pullman, Raphael Hoffman of Pendleton, Adelaide Boeck of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Mary Margaret McCormack of Spokane; three sons, Joseph McCormack of Joseph, Ore., John McCormack of Spokane and Timothy McCormack of Seattle; three sisters, Gertrude Parker of Portland, Sister Grace McDonald of La Crosse, Wis., and Mary McLachlan of Otis Orchards; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lily Mae Shepherd Spokane

No service will be held for Lily Mae Shepherd, 71. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements

Mrs. Shepherd, who died Sunday, was born in Rolla, N.D.

She was a 30-year Spokane resident and was a homemaker.

Her husband, Charles Shepherd, died in 1991.

Mrs. Shepherd is survived by a son, Russel Shepherd of Greenacres; two brothers, Roy Larson of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Lyle Larson of Wenatchee; two sisters, Edna Eldred of Spokane and Peggy Black; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Bruce Fennen Spokane

Service for Bruce G. Fennen, 73, will be at 1 p.m. today at Valley Fourth Memorial Church. Burial will follow at Pines Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Spokane, Mr. Fennen died Tuesday.

He graduated from West Valley High School and worked for Kaiser Aluminum for 35 years.

He was a member of Valley Fourth Memorial Church.

Mr. Fennen is survived by two sons, Jerry and Bob Fennen, both of Spokane; two daughters, Anita Whitbeck of Sacramento, Calif., and Pamela Fennen of Colorado Springs; two brothers, George Fennen of Arizona and Franklin Nelson of Seattle; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jeff McClure Spokane

Memorial service for Jeff McClure, 35, is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.

Mr. McClure, who was born in Spokane, died Sunday.

He had lived in Spokane most of his life and had worked for Kaiser Aluminum in Mead for the past eight years.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia McClure of Seattle; two brothers, Steve McClure of Mead and Jason McClure of Seattle; a sister, Joanne Gifford of Seattle; and his grandmother, Margaret McClure of Chattaroy.

Harrold Amsden Spokane

Service for Harrold Amsden, 74, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mr. Amsden, who died Feb. 20, was born in Groton, S.D.

He served in the Air Force during World War II and then worked in civil service at Fairchild Air Force Base as an aircraft engineer. He retired in 1977 after 35 years.

He had lived in Spokane for more than 50 years.

Mr. Amsden was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1474.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; four sons, Randy and Robbin Oates, and Lynn and Lyle Amsden, and a daughter, Rebecca Revard, all of Spokane; a brother, Lyman Amsden of Montana; a sister, Rachel Tracey; and eight grandchildren.
