Libraries To Check Out Cd-Roms

From Staff Reports

Parents can add CD-ROMs for the home computer to the list of things to check out at the nearest Spokane city library.

Starting this week, more than 170 CD-ROM titles were added to all city library shelves.

Patrons can check out two adult titles and two children’s titles at a time. The items are in both Macintosh and Windows formats, ranging from adventure games like “MayaQuest” to reference works such as Microsoft’s Explorapedia and Time magazine’s 20th century history.

Discs can be kept out for two weeks, with overdue fines running $1 per day.

Installation booklets come with each CD-ROM, and losing the booklet can result in a fine of $50, library officials said. , DataTimes
