Student Expelled For Fake Grenade

A special education student was expelled Thursday for bringing a fake grenade to Glover Middle School.

Principal Phil Newsum said the eighth-grader told several students Wednesday that he was going to bring the grenade to school.

Tipped off by a student, school officials searched the boy’s locker Thursday, finding the toy in a jacket pocket.
