Big 3rd Quarter Carries Kellogg

The Kellogg Wildcats outscored the Bonners Ferry Badgers 20-4 in the third quarter en route to a 60-52 Intermountain League win Friday night at Bonners Ferry.

The Wildcats (5-3, 1-1) increased a one-point halftime lead into a 15-point advantage with a 14-0 run to open the second half. Bonners Ferry (5-5, 2-3) would get no closer than six points the rest of the way.

Nathan Corkill scored a game-high 18 points and teammate Mike Mercado added 12 points for the Wildcats.

Alan Ashby’s 16 points topped the Badgers.
