Mlk March Has New Starting Point

Organizers of the Public Unity March at 10 a.m. Monday have changed the starting point for the event.

Due to construction in front of the federal courthouse in downtown Spokane, the march will start at the Catholic Diocese of Spokane building, 1023 W. Riverside.

The march held in honor of Martin Luther King Day will still end at the Spokane Opera House.

An open house at the Martin Luther King Family Outreach Center, 845 S. Sherman, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday. A children’s program will be held from noon to 1 p.m.
