William ‘Bill’ Bonds Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for William Lee “Bill” Bonds, 39, will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Chapel in Post Falls. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bonds, who was born in Yuma, Ariz., died Jan. 9.
He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1960 and worked as an auto mechanic for many years, recently at Hutchins Automotive.
Survivors include his mother, Marian Bonds of Coeur d’Alene; a brother, Raymon Bonds of Superior, Mont.; a sister, Elizabeth Suko of Coeur d’Alene; two nephews, Matthew and Nickolas; and niece, Angie.
Ruth Finzer Harrison, Idaho
At the family’s request, no service will be held for Ruth M. Finzer, 76. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Finzer, who was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., died Tuesday.
She attended college in Ohio before attending medical school.
Mrs. Finzer moved to Harrison in 1970 and raised Morgan horses.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William. Survivors include two sons, William F. Finzer Jr. of California and Arthur McEvoy of Illinois; two daughters, Elizabeth Renner of Kennewick and Katherine Flint of Harrison; a brother, Burton Mayes of South Carolina; a sister, Janet Rohrer of Ohio; and six grandchildren.

Verna Harding Coeur d’Alene
Service for Verna E. Harding, 81, will be held today at 10 a.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Mrs. Harding, who was born in Pomona, Calif., died Tuesday.
She grew up and attended school in Pomona and lived in Ontario, Canada, and various cities in California before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1969.
Mrs. Harding was a member of the United Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Blakeslee. Survivors include her husband, Hale; a son, Ernest Blakeslee of California; a stepson, Hale Harding of California; a sister, Edith of California; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Eberhard Hjelseth Coeur d’Alene
Graveside service for Eberhard Hjelseth, 78, will be held at a later date in Billings, Mont. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Hjelseth, who was born in North Dakota, died Wednesday.
He moved to Coeur d’Alene 27 years ago from Billings after retiring as an engineer-custodian for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Mr. Hjelseth was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Hjelseth of Georgia and Gary Hjelseth of Billings; a daughter, Paula Hjelseth of Coeur d’Alene; a brother, Edwin Hjelseth of Oregon; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Haven Petersen Spokane
Memorial service for F. Haven Petersen, 90, will be at a later date in Chehalis, Wash. Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Petersen, a 25-year Pullman resident, died Jan. 17.
She was born in Olympia and attended Whitman College in Walla Walla. She received a journalism degree from the University of Washington.
Mrs. Petersen worked as a librarian and social worker in Chehalis. She was also a homemaker.
She was a member of the Neighborly Neighbors in Pullman.
Her husband, Christian Petersen, died in 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Bodil Petersen Bratvold of Coeur d’Alene and Christine Petersen DuVall of Vancouver, Wash.; two sons, Halvor Petersen of Bonita, Calif., and Frank Petersen of New Haven, Conn.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Franklin Gullison Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Franklin A. Gullison, 87, will be held today at the Post Falls American Legion Club. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gullison, who was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, died Sunday.
As a child he immigrated to Massachusetts, where he grew up. He later served in the merchant marine and the Coast Guard.
After his military discharge, he worked as a carpenter in the ship building industry. He moved to California in 1952 before moving to North Idaho in 1982.
Mr. Gullison was a past member of the Post Falls Eagles Club and was a member of Don’s Pool Hall society in Post Falls.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive, in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Franklin Gullison of Masachusetts; a granddaughter, Kathleen; and two great-grandchildren, Lorie and Aaron.
Joseph McNerney Hayden, Idaho
Graveside service for Joseph McNerney, 77, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McNerney, who was born in New Jersey, died Tuesday.
He grew up and graduated from high school in New Jersey and later worked for Ingersoll Rand in New York, N.Y.
He served in Italy in the Army for two years during World War II and received two Purple Heart Awards.
Mr. McNerney returned to New Jersey after his military service and worked for the Postal Service for more than 30 years, retiring as a supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth.
He moved to Hayden in 1994 to be near family.
Survivors include a son, Michael McNerney of California; a daughter, Pat Ferriola of Hayden; and six grandchildren.
