Legislative action scheduled for this week includes:

Monday

10 a.m., House Hearing Rm. E, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Government Reform and Land Use Committee hearing on HB 1338, increasing flexibility for counties and cities in implementing growth management. Also being heard is HB 1209, allowing counties to opt out of growth management planning.

10 a.m., House Hearing Rm. D, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Trade and Economic Development work session with the Seahawks/Kingdome Renovation Task Force and the Governor’s Seahawks Stadium and Exhibit Center Financing Task Force.

1:30 p.m., Senate Hearing Rm. 2, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Energy and Utilities Committee hearing on SB 5231, providing for taxation of electrical energy.

Tuesday

8 a.m., Senate Hearing Rm. 4, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Human Services and Corrections Committee hearing on SB 5190, limiting health care for inmates sentenced to death.

10 a.m., House Hearing Rm. A, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Law and Justice Committee hearing on HB 1227, requiring HIV testing for persons arrested for being involved with prostitution. Also being heard is HB 1176, adding child rape to the two strikes list.

10 a.m., Senate Hearing Rm. 3, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Government Operations Committee hearing on SB 5058, declaring a vacancy in an elective office when the incumbent files a declaration of candidacy for another office.

Wednesday

8 a.m., House Hearing Rm. E, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Government Reform and Land Use Committee hearing on HB 1148, declaring growth management hearings boards’ rulings to be recommendations rather than orders. Also being heard is HB 1169, confirming growth management hearings board members.

3:30 p.m., Senate Hearing Rm. 4, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Ways and Means Committee hearing on SB 5234, dedicating revenue to K through 12 education through state lottery revenues.

Thursday

1:30 p.m., House Hearing Rm. A, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Agriculture and Ecology Committee hearing on HB 1272, establishing water conservancy boards.
