Olympic skiing champion Tommy Moe will likely be sidelined for the remainder of the World Cup season after undergoing surgery to repair a tendon in his right hand.
Moe, of Girdwood, Alaska, severed a tendon connected to his right thumb Saturday in a Kitzbuehel, Austria, bar.
Reigning world aerials champs Trace Worthington and Nikki Stone, as well as Donna Weinbrecht and Liz McIntyre, were chosen for the U.S. freestyle ski team that will compete next week in the World Championships in Nagano, Japan.
Davy Jones, injured last week in a crash during practice for the Indy 200, was transferred from the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Fla., to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He remained in serious but stable condition with a closed head injury.
