Michael McGuire, assistant principal at Rogers High School, will become principal at North Central High School next fall.
McGuire will replace Sandra Fink, who retired this year.
He has been assistant principal of curriculum at Rogers since 1991. Before that, he was a music instructor.
McGuire also helped plan the Medicine Wheel Academy, a District 81 school set to open this fall for Native American students, and helped create the district’s Internet use policy.
The Spokane school board approved his move to North Central June 25.
