Dakotah To Lease Valley Building

Dakotah Direct Inc. will lease a new $4.5 million building just off Mullan Road in the Spokane Valley, officials for the company announced Tuesday.

And Spokane-area employment at the telemarketing company is expected to increase to about 3,000 from less than 2,000, they said.

“We have some other things coming up,” said spokeswoman Connie Browning.

She said about half of the 600 employees in the company’s present headquarters in The Bon Building downtown would be moved to the Valley center when construction is completed in February 1998.

The Bon facility will then be remodeled, Browning said.

More employees will be added at both sites.

The new building will incorporate 44,600 square feet on a three-acre site fronting Sinto. There will be room for 250 parking spaces.

WAM Enterprises Inc. will be the owner. Panco Construction is expected to be the contractor.

Dakotah merged last month with Genesis Teleserv Corp., which is based in the Philadelphia area.
