Clark Fork Woman Missing Since Sunday
After a two-day search, Bonner County authorities have been unable to find a missing 49-year-old Clark Fork woman.
Patricia B. Anderson was last seen by family and friends last Sunday in Clark Fork. When Anderson didn’t arrive at her mother’s home the next morning, which is only a few blocks away, relatives went looking for her.
A search and rescue team was called in Thursday. They combed an area near Antelope Mountain. That is where Anderson’s brother, Ray “Sonny” Anderson, fell and died during a hunting trip in 1995.
Authorities also searched Anderson’s home but found no clues and don’t suspect foul play led to her disappearance. Anderson had been depressed, authorities said, and often visited the site where her brother had died.
Tracking dogs led searchers to several areas including a spot near the Clark Fork River. It’s possible she may have slipped and fallen into the water, authorities said. Searchers plan to continue checking the Clark Fork area and the river for any signs of Anderson.
