Comeback Creates Win For Phoenix

Associated Press

Toni Foster scored off a rebound at the buzzer as the Phoenix Mercury rallied from a 15-point deficit to beat the Los Angeles Sparks 57-56 on Sunday night in the WNBA.

After Heidi Burge made two free throws with 10.3 seconds left to give Los Angeles a 56-55 lead, Foster made the winning layup after teammate Umeki Webb missed an 8-foot attempt.

Michelle Timms led Phoenix with 17 points, all in the second half. Jennifer Gillom had 16.
