Man Hit, Robbed While Banking

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man told police he was knocked unconscious and robbed early Saturday as he was about to leave his car to make a deposit at an automated teller machine in north Spokane.

The victim, 50, said he was in the Shadle Center parking lot when someone opened the passengerside door of his car and hit him on the head, according to a Spokane police spokesman.

When the victim regained consciousness, he discovered money had been taken from his wallet, police said. The man was treated at a hospital emergency room.
