Robber Takes Cash From Restaurant
A fast-food restaurant in southeast Spokane was robbed Saturday night by a man who claimed he had a gun.
The robber entered the Zip’s restaurant at 2125 E. Sprague at 8 p.m. and asked an employee to change a $20 bill. When she opened a cash register, he demanded money, took it and ran west from the restaurant, police said.
A police dog was used to track the robber, and some of his clothes were found under a porch at First and Lee, police said.
The robber is described as white, in his late 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds and having long strawberry blond hair.
