Stadium Dedication Set
The U.S. Tennis Association will dedicate the new U.S. Open center court as Arthur Ashe Stadium on Aug. 25 after the first match of the Grand Slam event.
The ceremony will include an on-court tribute to past U.S. Open singles champions, a dedication of the 23,000-seat stadium and a performance by singer Whitney Houston.
Tennis legends Don Budge, John McEnroe, Chris Evert, Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova are also expected to appear along with all living U.S. Open champions.
