Tubbs Hill Water Tank Set To Get New Roof
Construction crews will begin replacing the roof on the Tubbs Hill water tank on Monday.
The tank was built in 1905 and has a timber roof covered with aluminum siding. The timbers are in poor condition, making it increasingly difficult to reattach the siding, said Jim Markley, city water superintendent.
The old roof will be replaced with a concrete roof. The Tubbs Hill access road will be widened for construction vehicles. Any disturbed areas will be reseeded.
The project is being paid from Water Department funds.
