Pilot Of Crop-Duster Killed When Plane Hits Power Line

An airplane pilot was killed Sunday morning after he hit a power line while spraying crops outside of Pingree.

Gaelard Jensen, 63, was killed when his plane hit the power line. The accident left about 1,900 Idaho Power customers without power for about seven hours.

A dispatcher with the Bingham County Sheriff’s Department said police were investigating the accident. Federal Aviation Administration investigators are arriving on Monday to assist with the investigation.
