Glickman To Visit Tri-Cities First
Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will visit the Tri-Cities on Thursday, stopping first at a Kennewick farm to view land in the Conservation Reserve Program.
At 1:30 p.m. he will hold an informal discussion with farmers and farm leaders at John Christiansen’s equipment shop on Amon Road.
The farm can be reached by traveling on Highway 395 south or Interstate 82 east to exit 114, Locust Grove Road. Go left on Locust Grove Road for about 1.5 miles, then turn right onto Amon Road, bearing right at the fork. The equipment shop is at the top of the hill.
Glickman is coming to Eastern Washington to view the federally funded Conservation Reserve Program and to hear farmers’ concerns about the low enrollment rate in Washington.
