Kellogg Man Arrested In Marijuana Bust

From Staff And Wire Reports

Shoshone County sheriff’s deputies seized growing marijuana, paraphernalia and a handgun while arresting a 35-year-old Kellogg man Tuesday on drug charges.

Douglas E. Almas was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance in the presence of children, possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers discovered the growing marijuana plant in a bedroom during the investigation of domestic complaint at Almas’ house, said sheriff’s Cpl. Mike Gunderson.

After getting a warrant, sheriff’s deputies, a Kellogg police officer and an Idaho State patrolman found “items consistent with the sale of methamphetamine” and a 9mm handgun, Gunderson said.
