North Spokane Rape May Be Linked To Others

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane police are investigating the possibility that Tuesday’s rape of a woman in her northwest Spokane home is connected to other recent rapes in the city.

The woman told police she woke up at 3 a.m. in her home in the 6100 block of North Forest Boulevard to find a man with a handgun and knife in her room. He told her he was there to rob her.

After she gave the assailant some cash, he took her into the bedroom, tied her hands and feet to the bed frame and raped her, Spokane police said.

He left her tied to the bed and, after the woman freed herself, she called the police.

The man is described as black or Hispanic, in his 30s with a husky build. Police believe he may be involved in similar sexual assaults. , DataTimes
