Vancouver Business Moving To Spokane
The latest recruit by the Spokane Area Economic Development Council is Field Instruments and Controls, a Vancouver, Wash., distributor of process control equipment and instrumentation devices.
EDC officials announced at the agency’s semi-annual meeting Wednesday that Field will relocate to Spokane in October.
The company will initially employ five people here.
Jamie Sullivan, president of Field, was quoted as saying the company chose Spokane for its new home because of its quality of life and proximity to customers throughout the Northwest.
The Spokane location will help Field continue to serve its large manufacturing customers, which include Boeing, Intel and Kaiser Aluminum.
EDC officials also said 22 local companies have been added to the rank’s of EDC’s investor-members during the first half of the year. That brings EDC’s membership to more than 280 companies.
