On The Dole

Bob Dole, former Kansas senator and Republican presidential candidate, has found a new celebrity outside of politics - TV pitchman. He’s hawking wares from a debit card to doughnuts, and analysts say he’s performing just fine. He’s doing most of the commercials for fun and donates much of the money he earns to charity. Dole says he’s careful about which offers he accepts, turning down ones he feels are inappropriate. He says he’s not just a salesman but has a message: “I just want people to know there’s life after losing an election, and I think you can be a winner even sometimes when you lose.”
