Amsterdam Stays Alive

The Amsterdam Admirals stayed in contention for a place in the World Bowl with a 13-9 victory over the World League’s first champion, the London Monarchs, in London.

The victory before 9,150 fans at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge soccer stadium gives the Admirals a 4-4 record behind the Scottish Claymores and Rhein Fire, who are both 5-3. The Monarchs are 3-5 and now out of it.

Siran Stacy, the World League’s all-time leading rusher, scored two touchdowns as the Scottish Claymores stayed in contention for a place in the World Bowl with a 24-7 victory over the Frankfurt Galaxy in Edinburgh, Scotland.
