Friendships, Memories Highlight Seniors’ Years At Ferris
As we approach our final days as high school students, we wonder where the time has gone.
It seems like just yesterday we were timid, young freshmen trembling at the thought of big seniors stuffing us in garbage cans and taping us to the flagpoles. These petty fears soon became obsolete (for most of us) as we matured into bright, young adults.
We were now experiencing what is to be known as the best years of our lives.
So, what made these the best years of our lives?
Was it the numerous essays we were forced to write or the late-night studying for final exams? Was it the four-star cuisine in the cafeteria?
No. It was the friendships we made and the memories we built. From state championships to Rubber Chicken victories, we shared countless moments as a class.
This closeness that we shared also helped us through the bad times. It was the comfort and support of classmates that helped us recover from the devastating loss of fellow students.
We were there through fights, breakups and bad test scores. And when times got really tough, we kept each other awake in Mr. Hedemark’s American government class. These incidents strengthened the bonds between us.
Though we are all anxious to move forward in life, there is a part of us that doesn’t want to let go. As graduation nears, we hold on to those times that we shared.
We will use these experiences to gain insight for the future.
Our years at Ferris have matured us, transforming us from innocent children to responsible citizens.
Thanks to parents, teachers, Mrs. Phalen and Mrs. Vincent for getting us through these past four years and putting up with our unreasonableness. And especially thanks to our classmates for giving a lifetime of memories.
As you venture ahead, we wish you success wherever you go.
