Telect Relocates Texas Operation

From Staff Reports

Telect Inc. is relocating its Richardson, Texas, cable manufacturing operations to Liberty Lake., The move will create 20 to 25 new jobs here over the next few months as construction crews complete work on Telect’s new 145,000 square foot facility near its Liberty Lake headquarters.

Company officials said the new Liberty Lake plant, along with its sites in the Spokane Industrial Park, offer more than enough space to incorporate the Texas manufacturing operations.

In addition to cable manufacturing, many of Telect’s other telecommunications products will be developed and manufactured at the new facility, scheduled to open in October.

The Richardson plant, located near Dallas, opened in 1994.

Telect is currently evaluating opportunities for additional expansion in Latin America, Asia and Europe.

Telect designs and manufactures fiber optic, digital and analog products for the telephone, utilities, cable television and entertainment industries worldwide.
