Teenager Killed In Head-On Collision

A Post Falls teenager died Sunday in a two-car collision in Lincoln County, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred about 8:35 p.m. on Hallet Road, six miles southeast of Reardan, Wash.
Troopers said Keith O’Malley, 18, was driving his 1983 Pontiac east on Hallet when he collided head-on with a car driven by John Hammer of Medical Lake.
O’Malley, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene of massive internal injuries, troopers said. A passenger in his car, 18-year-old Jeremy Lickfold of Curlew, Wash., received internal injuries and a broken leg.
He was taken to Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane.
Hammer was not hurt, but two passengers in his car were injured, troopers said. His sister, 15-year-old Mary Hammer, broke her wrist. Family friend Rochelle Forquer, also 15, broke her arm.
