Woman In Miller Shooting Recovering
A woman whose estranged husband shot her twice in the head and abducted their son before killing himself in Spokane is recovering from her injuries.
Before shooting his wife, Alison Kennedy, on May 15, Kevin Miller was charged with murdering his mother-in-law in San Antonio and abducting his nearly 2-year-old son, Dylan Miller.
Kevin Miller, the subject of an interstate manhunt, shot himself to death in Spokane on May 19. His son was with him, but was not injured.
On Monday, Kennedy, 25, was transferred from an Austin hospital to a rehabilitation center. Her father, Michael Kennedy, said Ms. Kennedy may regain the use of some of the right side of her body.
“She is speaking in sentences and putting words together,” Kennedy told the Austin American-Statesman. “It’s very encouraging.”
Dylan is living with an aunt and uncle in Austin.
