Crews To Fix Cable At Post Falls Dam
The spillway at the Post Falls dam will be closed for a few hours this morning to allow repairs of a cable.
That will raise the water level under the Spokane Street bridge four feet, said Dana Anderson, of Washington Water Power. WWP owns the Post Falls dam.
The cable is used to prevent boaters from getting too near the dam. It likely was damaged by floating debris.
The repair work will begin at 9 a.m. and will take about two hours. Boating and swimming are prohibited during the repair.
