Transient Linked To Church Burglaries

The arrest of a 24-year-old transient has police hoping they’ve solved as many as 40 church burglaries on the Eastside, in Shoreline and in Seattle.

Brent Edward Jeffries, who lists his parents’ Woodinville address as his own, was charged Tuesday in King County Superior Court with two counts of burglary and driving without a license.

Prosecutors say he faces at least one other burglary charge.

He has a previous conviction for damaging a building with explosives, according to court documents.
