Gates To Address United Way

Microsoft Chairman and CEO Bill Gates will present the keynote address at the United Way of Spokane County’s campaign kickoff Sept. 17.

Gates, a long-time advocate of United Way, will make his presentation at a community breakfast in the Ag Trade Center.

Gates’ late mother served on the board of both United Way of King County and United Way of America. She was also president of United Way International.

Bill Gates has served on the board of United Way of America.

“This is a very visible demonstration of (Gates’) deep personal and corporate commitment to the United Way and the support of human care services,” said Anne Marie Axworthy, United Way of Spokane County campaign chair. , DataTimes
