Women To Learn Mountain Biking

Hitch up that skirt, hop on a mountain bike and get ready for Skurtzendirt, a women’s mountain biking clinic scheduled for Saturday at Farragut State Park.

Registration still is open for the all-day event, designed to help women riders gain more confidence while riding on single-track dirt trails.

Experienced mountain bikers will share riding tips and coach participants on bike-handling skills. An afternoon trail ride will be geared toward different ability levels.

The $30 entry fee covers a T-shirt, lunch, bike manual and insurance. Call 664-0654 to register, and show up at Locust Grove Picnic Area in the park before 9 a.m. Saturday.
