Round-Up Wagon Train Hits The Trail
The Round-Up Wagon Train hits the trail next week, with 11 horse-drawn covered wagons winding through 50 miles of Blue Mountain terrain for four days and five nights.
The annual convoy, sponsored by the Round-Up Association and Happy Canyon board of directors, embarks Tuesday west of Ukiah at Pole Creek.
The wagon train tradition began in 1983 as part of the now-defunct Pendleton Rendezvous celebration.
The route follows sections of an old wagon road.
