3.9 Temblor Rattles Nerves In Puget Sound
A 3.9-magnitude earthquake shook the Puget Sound area early Friday, just hours after two other temblors shook parts of the Pacific Northwest, the University of Washington seismology lab reported.
The quake at 3:37 a.m. was centered northeast of Bremerton, seismologist Steve Malone said. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
Thursday night, a 3.1-magnitude shaker was reported in the same area at 10:30 p.m., Malone said.
The third earthquake, with a magnitude of 2.5, was reported at 9:48 p.m. Thursday in Canada’s Fraser River Valley, about 40 miles north-northeast of Bellingham, Malone said.
