Edythe ‘Edee’ Gappa Spokane
Service for Edythe Ray “Edee” Gappa, 22, is set for 2 p.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Gappa, who died Feb. 21, was a lifetime Spokane resident and attended Shadle Park High School.
She worked as an office clerk.
Survivors include a son, Erik Heston; her mother and stepfather, Linda and Don Bissinger; her father, Raymond Gappa; a sister, Melissa Morse; a brother, Kurtis Gappa Vandervert; and her grandparents, Curtis and Edythe Vandervert, and Don and Elaine Gappa.
Susan Wiley Mead
Memorial service for Susan A. Wiley, 59, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Whitworth Presbyterian Church. Private burial will precede at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wiley, who was born in Richardton, N.D., died Wednesday.
She worked as a Social Security adjudicator in Spokane and had lived in Mead for 30 years.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Wiley; a son, Scott Wiley and a daughter, Dawn Bayman, both of Spokane; two sisters, Marilyn Forster of Richardton and Karen Voigt of Dickinson, N.D.; a brother, Lyle Madson of Fort Collins, Colo.; and six grandchildren.
Romola Dodge Spokane
Visitation for Romola Doreen Dodge, 81, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Dodge, who died Feb. 21, was born in Golden, Colo.
She came to Spokane in 1919 and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Dodge.
She is survived by a son, Tim Dodge of Spokane; a daughter, Doreen Williams of Portland; a sister, LaVonne Codd of Spokane; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Dorothy Cameron Spokane
Private service will be held for Dorothy Cameron, 81. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cameron, who died Tuesday, was born in Glendale, Ore.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane for 50 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Myrna Volquardsen and Marla Driggs, and a son, Jim Birge, all of Spokane; a sister, Eva Countryman of Spokane; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Casper Plotzki Spokane
Service for Casper Plotzki, 81, will be at 1 p.m. today at Shrider Mortuary in Ronan, Mont. Burial will be at Ronan Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Plotzki, who died Monday, was born in Hebron, N.D.
He was a 50-year Spokane resident and worked as a track repairman for the railroad.
He was a member of the Valley Eagles Lodge.
His companion, Marriane Summers, preceded him in death.
Mr. Plotzki is survived by a brother, Christ Plotzki of Dodge, N.D.; and a sister, Eva Karren of Renton, Wash.
Naomi Clark Spokane
Memorial service for Naomi Mae (Israel) Clark, 91, will be at 11 a.m. March 8 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.
Mrs. Clark, who died Jan. 23, was born in Greene, Iowa, and moved to Spokane with her family in 1918.
She worked as a telephone operator and, in 1928, married Arthur Clark. They lived in California for a short time and then returned to Spokane.
Mrs. Clark was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Plumbers Auxiliary.
She was a pianist and performed with several Spokane dance bands in the 1920s.
She was prededed in death by her husband.
Mrs. Clark is survived by two daughters, Mildred Stevens of Spokane and Margaret Klein of Crescent City, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Blegen of Spokane; two sons, George Clark of Cheney and Robert Clark of Spokane; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
