Angie Wheeler Chosen As Lilac Princess

The third of 12 Lilac Festival princesses was chosen Wednesday night.

Angie Wheeler, a 17-year-old Northwest Christian senior, was chosen to represent her school. She is the daughter of Gary and Barb Wheeler.

Wheeler is a cheerleader, senior class secretary and snow ski instructor at Mount Spokane Ski Resort.

She plans to attend Southern California College in Costa Mesa, Calif., and study education.

One of the princesses representing Spokane-area schools will be named Lilac Queen on April 12 at Shadle Park High School.
