Falcons Ink Buchanan
The Atlanta Falcons took a major step toward upgrading their woeful pass defense by signing former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Ray Buchanan to a four-year, $13 million contract.
Jeff Wilkins, who set two team kicking records for San Francisco last season, has agreed to a four-year, $2.1 million deal with the St. Louis Rams.
Wilkins set 49ers’ records both for field goal accuracy (30-of-34, for 88.2 percent) and most field goals. He ranked fourth in the league in scoring with 130 points.
The Indianapolis Colts signed former Seattle Seahawks defensive back Carlton Gray.
Left guard Ben Coleman and cornerback Dave Thomas re-signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
