Naleena Horn Spokane

Funeral Mass for Naleena Mary Horn, 72, is planned for 10 a.m. today at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Horn, who died Friday, was born in Republic, Wash.

She was raised in the Tonasket, Wash., area and graduated from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing.

She worked as a registered nurse for 50 years and had lived in Spokane for 29 years. She had worked as a nurse at Valleycrest Nursing Home in the Spokane Valley.

Mrs. Horn was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Survivors include a son, Greg Norine of Kent, Wash.; three daughters, Julie Stover of Spokane, Carol Smith of Renton, Wash., and Alice Attwood of Tonasket; a brother, Willis Horn of Olympia; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lupus Society or Catholic Charities.

Jason Knott Spokane

Visitation for Jason E. Knott, 71, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mr. Knott died Friday.

He was born in Madison, Wis.

He graduated from high school in Eau Claire, Wis. and came to Spokane in 1941 with the Navy and was stationed at Farragut Naval Station for a short time.

He served in the Navy in the South Pacific aboard an aircraft carrier.

Following World War II, he returned to Spokane and attended Kinman Business University.

He worked for the Holsum Bakery for 27 years as general sales manager and retired in 1982.

Mr. Knott is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Knott; a son, Jason Knott Jr. of Colbert; a sister, Margaret Martin of Eau Claire; and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fourth Memorial Church Building Fund.

Lori Goff Colville, Wash.

Services for Lori L. Goff, 26, will be at 2 p.m. today at Colville United Methodist Church. Graveside services and vault interment will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Toppenish, Wash., Mrs. Goff died Thursday.

She had worked for the Chore Services in Colville and the Cake Pantry and was currently a bookkeeper at Colville Machine Works.

Mrs. Goff was a member of the Colville Free Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Goff; a son Logan Goff and a daughter, Jamie Goff, both at home; her parents, Larry and Patty Sears of Marcus, Wash.; a sister, Kaylynn Sears of Marcus; a brother, Don Sears of Spokane; and her grandmothers, Esther Sears of Marcus, Esther Goff of Spokane and Florence Whittington of Toppenish.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stevens County Sheriff’s Ambulance Fund in Colville.

Helen Moore Colfax, Wash.

Service for Helen Margaret Moore, 66, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Colfax. Burial will follow at Endicott (Wash.) Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moore , who died Sunday, was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

She worked in retail in Spokane before she married Delbert Moore in 1955 in Spokane and they moved to a ranch near Steptoe Butte.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the First Baptist Church of Colfax and served in Sunday school. She served as director of the Palouse Hills region National Christian Women’s Club and as a board member of the Colfax Young Life Club.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Kelly Stauffer of Spokane, and Barb Link and Laurie Wilson, both of Colfax; a sister, Dolly Kiourkas of Las Cruces, N.M.; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Southeast Washington Home Health and Hospice.

Naomi Clark Spokane

Memorial service for Naomi Mae (Israel) Clark, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Mrs. Clark, who died Jan. 23, was born in Greene, Iowa, and moved to Spokane with her family in 1918.

She worked as a telephone operator and, in 1928, married Arthur Clark. They lived in California for a short time and then returned to Spokane.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Plumbers Auxiliary.

She was a pianist and performed with several Spokane dance bands in the 1920s.

She was prededed in death by her husband.

Mrs. Clark is survived by two daughters, Mildred Stevens of Spokane and Margaret Klein of Crescent City, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Blegen of Spokane; two sons, George Clark of Cheney and Robert Clark of Spokane; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or the Easter Seal Society.

Elaine Hall Spokane

Visitation for Elaine P. Hall, 80, is scheduled from noon to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hall, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Friday.

She was a homemaker and was involved in the founding of the Singles 60+ Club.

She was a member of the Spokane Danish Society and Eagles Lodge No. 2.

Her husband of 42 years, Newton Hall, died in 1980.

Mrs. Hall is survived by three daughters, Christine Martinelli, Linda Trinkle and Sharon Burnett, all of Spokane; a son, Roger Hall of Spokane; a sister, Bonnie Mitchell of Spokane; two brothers, Elmer Johnson of Republic, Wash., and John Johnson of Spokane; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

August Dreger Wilbur, Wash.

Service for August G. Dreger, 82, is set for 1 p.m. today at Strate Funeral Home in Wilbur. Burial will be at the Wilbur Cemetery.

Mr. Dreger, who was born in Wilbur, died Friday at home.

In 1947 he married Lilly MacMaster in Spokane.

They farmed in Wilbur for many years.

Mr. Dreger was a member of the Wilbur Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, JoAnn Coleman of Mossyrock, Wash. and Neta Ewing of Spokane; two sons, Larry Coleman of Green Valley, Calif., and Randy Dreger of Creston, Wash.; a brother, Bill Dreger Sr. of Wilbur; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilbur Cemetery Association.

Werner Peterson Spokane

Memorial service for Werner P. Peterson, 92, is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Covenant Church. Private inurnment will be at Riverside Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Peterson died Saturday.

He was born in Wyoming and came to Spokane when he was 6.

He graduated from North Central High School.

In 1951 he married Elenor Westberg in Spokane.

Mr. Peterson worked for various electrical contractors in Spokane for more than 40 years and retired in 1979.

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a Mason.

He is survived by his wife.

Homer Pratt Visalia, Calif.

Graveside service for Homer E. Pratt, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Visalia District Cemetery. Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Pratt, a former Spokane resident and a retired City of Spokane engineer, died Feb. 26.

He was born in Baker City, Ore.

He was a pilot in World War II and served as a flight instructor and flew troops on the European front. He retired as a first lieutenant.

He had recently moved to Visalia from Spokane.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Christensen of Visalia; a stepson, Gale Butler of Kennewick; a sister, Jean Moore of Bancroft, Idaho; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Robert Lehman Spokane

Service for Robert K. Lehman, 68, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mr. Lehman, who was born in Lewiston, died Friday.

He was a 44-year Spokane resident and worked for Great Northern Railway.

He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Hillyard Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1474.

Mr. Lehman’s survivors include three sons, Robert Lehman of Spokane, David Lehman of Portland and Michael Lehman of Coeur d’Alene; two daughters, Julie Evans and Leslie McVay, both of Spokane; two sisters, June Roberts of Spokane and Fern Wilson of Moses Lake; and eight grandchildren.

Willis Roberts Spokane

Memorial service for Willis R. Roberts, 79, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Private inurnment is planned.

Mr. Roberts died Friday.

He was born in Leland, Idaho He was a laborer and had worked as a cabinetmaker and a logger. He was a 38-year Spokane resident.

Mr. Roberts was a member of Spokane Eagles Lodge No. 2 and had served in the Army.

He is survived by a son, Ben Roberts of Medical Lake; a daughter, Mary Ann Hartman of Spokane; a sister, Eva Kohl of Clarkston, Wash.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission.

Gladys Nielsen Spokane

Visitation for Gladys E. Nielsen is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. There will be private graveside service.

Mrs. Nielsen, 94, died Saturday.

She was born in Canby, Minn., and moved to Washington with her family when she was young.

She had worked as a seamstress for many years at what is now known as Kathleen Louise.

Two husbands, Jack Grigsby and Louis Nielsen, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Nielsen is survived by a son, Jack Grigsby of Anchorage, Alaska; two grandsons, three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Sidney Unger Spokane

Service for Sidney V. Unger, 84, is set for 1 p.m. today at Pines Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Hennessey Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Unger, who died Friday, was born in Branson, Mo.

He married Odema Davison in 1946 in Las Vegas, Nev.

He was a 49-year Spokane resident and owned Unger Construction Co.

He was a member of Dishman Baptist Church.

Mr. Unger is survived by his wife; two daughters, Cathryn Long and Shirley Saling, both of Spokane; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Maxine Seely Spokane

Service for Maxine E. Seely, 87, is set for 2 p.m. Wedesday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Pines Cemetery.

Mrs. Seely, who died Thursday, was born in Seattle.

She graduated from high school in Bremerton and attended Washington State University.

In 1931, she married Ray Seely.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane for 12 years.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 94 in Coulee Dam and Coulee Dam Community Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband; and a daughter, Eileen Seely of Spokane.
