Key to the game: Turnovers were the difference. The Vikings (16-9) turned the ball over on five of their first seven possessions, allowing the Coyotes (21-4) to jump out to a 10-0 lead. For the game, the Vikings turned the ball over 29 times and managed just 39 shots from the floor.

Other highlights: Mary Johnson scored a game-high 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting for the Coyotes. Teammate Alyssum Myrick added 11 points.

Kittitas held the Vikings to just two points, a pair of free-throws by Lisa Rimmereid, in the third quarter.

Key to the game: The Eagles’ Tricia Lamb accounted for half her team’s 46 points. She also grabbed 13 of the Eagles’ 31 rebounds, dished out three assists, had five steals and no turnovers in just under 30 minutes of playing time.

Other highlights: The Eagles (22-5) made five 3-pointers compared with just one for the Invaders (23-2). St.John-Endicott also had an 11-6 advantage at the free-throw line.

Nicole Counts had 16 points to lead the Invaders.

Key to the game: The Broncos (24-4) broke the game open in the second period by outscoring the Crusaders (20-5) 20-7. Ritzville was 10 of 12 from the free-throw line in the quarter.

Other highlights: Megan Yerxa was Ms. Inside and Shannon Russel was Ms. Outside for the Broncos. Yerxa accounted for a game-high 19 points, all in the paint, and Russel buried three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points.

Nobody reached double-figure scoring for Watson Groen Christian.

Key to the game: The Mustangs’ (23-5) leading scorer, Karen Sauvola, picked up her fourth foul at the 3:12 mark of the second quarter and ended up playing just 17 minutes.

Sauvola scored six of her team’s eight points to start the fourth quarter as the Mustangs rallied from a 48-40 deficit to tie it at 48. Sauvola fouled out with 3:05 to play and the Mountaineers (22-3) went on a 10-6 run for the win.

Other highlights: Rainier’s Chante Schutz scored a game-high 24 points thanks to 9-of-11 shooting from the free-throw line. Schutz connected on just 6 of 20 shots from the floor, including 3 of 11 from 3-point range.

Jessica Sell paced Northport with 15 points. Elizabeth Young added 11 points.

Key to the game: After using an 8-0 run starting late in the first quarter to take an 18-13 lead, the Nannies harassed the Warriors into 30 percent shooting (20-66), including 0 for 9 from 3-point range, to hold on for the win. Brooke Libbey, who had game-highs of 16 points and 10 rebounds, started the run by driving for a basket and opened the second quarter with a 3-pointer to make it 19-13.

Other highlights: The Nannies only made 13 of 23 free throws, but KW only got eight attempts, making six. The Warriors also battled foul trouble with 6-foot-3 Melissa Wallace and sophomore guard Becka Beard fouling out and point guard Trina Swift, who had seven offensive rebounds, limited by four fouls.

Pateros scored 14 points off 15 turnovers to 2 of 18 for KW.

Key to the game: Kristen Turner and Katie Supinger dominated the boards, combining for 25 rebounds, which helped limit Toutle Lake to 33 percent shooting (17 of 51).

Other highlights: The Ducks didn’t have an offensive rebound until under a minute remained in the first half when they recovered a bobbled ball.

Janelle Krupe hit three of her four 3’s in the first half as the Indians opened a 32-16 lead. She finished with 14 points. Supinger had 10 rebounds, four on the offensive end, which helped propel her to a 22-point game. Turner controlled the defense with 14 boards after TL misses. Reardan made 14 of 19 free throws to just 3 of 10 for the Ducks.

Key to the game: The scrappy Bruins forced 28 turnovers as the Loggers tried to pound the ball inside against a man-to-man defense. The top-ranked Loggers shot just 26 percent and Mindy McElliott scored all but nine points. Abbie Pierce scored 6.

Other highlights: Even though WV had a 55-36 rebounding edge, fifth-ranked Clallam Bay grabbed almost every loose ball and forced the Loggers into foul trouble with three players eventually fouling out. WV’s starting guards failed to score while CB’s 5-4 freshman point guard, Lindsay Ritter, kept the Bruins under control and scored five points with five rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Key to the game: Lisa Arden’s sharpshooting made the difference. She scored what proved to be the winning points with two free ethrows with 22 seconds left and helped the Wildcats to a 16-0 start with three of her five 3’s in the first quarter.

Other highlights: Both teams shot poorly from the field, Tekoa-Oakesdale making just 12 of 47 (26 percent) and Wilbur-Creston 13 of 45 (29 percent).

T-O rallied by hitting 14 of 18 free throws to 10 of 20 for W-C, but the Wildcats made 6 of 14 3’s while the Nighthawks were just 2 of 10.
